Display preference controls for Nitro Workspace

As a Global Administrator of your Nitro Team Account, you can control the products and tools displayed in Nitro Workspace to your users. Workspace-specific display settings are located in the Admin portal under the Settings section.

Workspace is a centralized hub for you and your end users to access your Nitro native apps such as PDF Pro for Windows, Mac, and iOS, as well use cloud/web-based apps for PDF creation, conversion & extraction tools.

Customize what you and your users are able to see in the Workspace:

Show All Apps: Apps include the following native Nitro and web apps:

• Nitro PDF Pro for Windows: Nitro’s desktop PDF editor for Windows-based users provides a range of easy-to-use features, including the ability to edit, convert, secure, annotate, sign PDFs and more. Users can access the latest Nitro PDF Pro for Windows installers along with helpful resources.
• Nitro PDF Pro for Mac: Nitro’s desktop PDF editor for Mac-based users provides a range of easy-to-use features, including the ability to edit, convert, secure, annotate, sign PDFs and more. Users can access the latest Nitro PDF Pro for Mac binary along with helpful resources.
• Nitro PDF Pro for iOS: Nitro’s desktop PDF editor for iPad, iPhone, and VisionPro users provides a range of easy-to-use features, including the ability to edit, convert, secure, annotate, sign PDFs and more. Users can access the specific App Store web-page for Nitro PDF Pro for iOS. To get and install iPadOS/iOS apps on iPad, iPhone, users can obtain the app from the App Store on their mobile device or deploy via Apple Business Manager (ABM), Apple School Manager.
• Nitro Sign: Nitro Sign allows you to integrate electronic signatures workflows seamlessly into your existing business applications. It offers an eSigning solution that enables users to sign or send documents for signature without having to print, scan or email.

Show “Tools” Section: Nitro provides specific web-based PDF editing and sign tools from our Sign service for quick edits. Tools include:

• Convert/Export Tools:
  
  • Convert to Microsoft® Office Formats: convert PDFs to MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint. Once the conversion is complete, click the Download button to download the output and save your file. 
  • Convert to Image: Convert PDFs to JPG/JPEG or PNG format. Once the conversion is complete, click the Download button to download the output and save your file. 
  • Convert to PDF: Convert MS Office formats (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and images such as JPG/JPEG to PDF format. Once the conversion is complete, click the Download button to download the output and save your file

Show “Learn” Section: The Learn section is here to provide users with basic information on PDF editing, eSigning, digital editing workflows, and more. Content is continually updated and customized.

1. Login to the  Nitro Admin Portal. 
2. Select Settings  in the sidebar navigation pane on the left and navigate to the Workspace  tab.
3. Select/check or deselect/uncheck “Show all Apps”:
   
   1. If you check “Show all Apps”, your users will be shown links to Nitro Sign as well as links to pages that allow them to download PDF Pro for Windows, Mac and iOS.
      
      1. Users with a serial number or license file: If your version of Nitro PDF Pro for Windows is activated with a serial number or license file, please do not check the box for “Nitro PDF Pro for Windows, Mac and iOS”. If you are unsure which version of Nitro PDF Pro for Windows is in use at your organization, please contact Nitro Support.
      2. Prevent easy access to native app installer/binary and Nitro Sign: If you do not want all users to have access to the Nitro PDF Pro installer download links, please do not check the box for “Nitro PDF Pro for Windows, Mac and iOS.”
   2. If you uncheck “Show all Apps”, you may individually select Nitro Sign (web-based) or Nitro PDF Pro for Windows, Mac and iOS (Desktop and Mobile) to control their display separately. Note: unchecking Nitro Sign will also remove the Sign related tools from the Tools section (e.g Request Signatures and Self Sign).

      

4. Select/check or deselect/uncheck “Show ‘Tools’ Section” to control the display of various PDF editing and eSign tools within the Workspace.
   
   1. If you check the “Show ‘Tools’ Section,” your users will be shown and have access to all web-based PDF editing tools and quick links to eSign tools from Nitro Sign in the Workspace UI.
   2. If you uncheck the “Show ‘Tools’ Section,” your users will not be shown or have access to any of the web-based PDF editing tools and quick links to eSign tools from Nitro Sign in the Workspace UI.

      

5. Select/check or deselect/uncheck the “Show ‘Learn’ Section” on the show Learn checkbox to display the knowledge articles and helpful user resources in available in the Workspace UI.
   
   1. If you check the “Show ‘Learn’ Section,” your users will be shown and have access to all curated educational articles and content provided by the Nitro team.
   2. If you uncheck the “Show ‘Learn’ Section,” your users will not be shown or have access to any of the educational articles and helpful user resources in available in the Workspace UI.

      

If all of the Display Preferences boxes are checked in your Admin Settings, this is how Workspace will appear to users.

If you do not want to display any product downloads or web-based tools, uncheck all the boxes under Display Preferences in the Admin portal.
