The Challenge

Support a growing global workforce with secure digital document workflows

TSK is a global engineering business, providing sustainable technology solutions to industrial and energy sector clients in more than 50 countries. It has also relied on Nitro to support its document workflows for over 15 years.

The relationship began back in 2010, when TSK’s team evaluated four potential PDF-editing tools. They found Nitro to be the best in terms of cost-effectiveness, functionality, and overall performance–and it has remained the company’s preferred solution ever since.

A new requirement emerged as more TSK clients switched from manual to digital signing and internal teams began requesting a secure, easy-to-use eSignature solution.

TSK CISO Iván Busto Alvarez explains: “End users were requesting a specific solution that many of their clients were using. But we also knew that Nitro had their own eSignature platform. The question was, could Nitro meet our requirements for eSigning as well as it does for PDF editing?”

Ultimately, choosing Nitro’s built-in eSignature solution was a straightforward decision for TSK. Product demonstrations confirmed it was the ideal fit for user needs–and it came at a significantly lower cost than alternative providers.  

But pricing and functionality were not the only considerations. Juan Castrillón Díaz, an IT specialist with TSK, explains: “In the IT team, we liked the idea of working with an established partner–especially a partner like Nitro. The support team has always been there for us over the years, listening to our needs, sorting out minor issues, and giving us flexibility when we needed it. This made Nitro a natural choice.”

Security was also a critical factor in the decision: “As the person in charge of cybersecurity at TSK, I have to say that OTP (one-time password) functionality is a must-have for us,” said Busto Alvarez. “Any solution we use has to include it–and Nitro’s does.”
