The Challenge

Make secure digital signing an integral part of PB Plus's property description software

PB Plus’s pioneering real estate software has helped transform housing inspections for the digital age. The tool is now used by real estate partners across Flanders—Belgium’s Dutch-speaking region—to conduct rental inspections with greater accuracy and speed.

Signatures are a critical component of the rental inspection process: the landlord and all tenants need to sign off each inspection before it can be completed. But when PB Plus’s tool first launched in 2018, this was the one element that was still being performed manually.

Xavier Kluyskens, Director and Co-Founder of PB Plus, explains: “Property managers had to wait for multiple forms to be sent out and returned, and if any of the signatories made a mistake, they would have to start over again. The whole process could take weeks, even months.”

The team’s urgent mission: to find a robust eSigning solution that could be easily integrated with their tool.

The solution

There were two key criteria Xavier and the PB Plus team were looking for in an eSigning solution: One, a high-quality user experience. The second was compatibility with “itsme”, a popular Belgian digital identity scheme.
