Appointment of Independent Non-Executive Director

Nitro Software Limited (ASX: NTO) (‘Nitro’ or the ‘Company’), a global document productivity software company driving digital transformation in organisations around the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Craig Scroggie as a new independent non-executive director, effective 1 September 2021.

As Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASX 100-listed NEXTDC Ltd (ASX: NXT), Mr Scroggie is recognised as one of Australia’s most successful technology executives. Under Mr Scroggie’s leadership, NEXTDC has grown over the past decade from a technology start-up into one of Asia’s leading digital infrastructure companies, with a market capitalisation of approximately A$6 billion.

Nitro Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sam Chandler said: “Earlier this year, as part of our Board renewal process, we commenced the search for a new independent non-executive director. Craig is the perfect addition to the team, bringing valuable skills and expertise to help guide the Company through its next stage of growth. With his extensive enterprise software experience and a track record of building a multi-billion-dollar business on the ASX, we’re delighted to have Craig join the Nitro Board.”

Mr Scroggie said: “Nitro has established itself as a serious player in document workflow and eSignatures, and has an amazing opportunity to take a leadership position in the global document productivity market. I am excited to join the team and look forward to supporting Sam and the Board as the Company executes on its ambitious growth plans.”

Mr Scroggie brings more than 25 years of experience in the ICT industry, holding executive leadership positions at some of the world’s most iconic enterprise software companies, including Symantec, Veritas Software, Computer Associates and EMC Corporation. Mr Scroggie currently serves as Chairman of the La Trobe University Business School and is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Commerce. He is also a Graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
