This Friday, Ireland will become the first country in the world to vote on the legalization of same-sex marriage. And if Nitro could cast a ballot, we’d be voting Yes.

Why? Because we believe in equality, and we believe in diversity. We also know that equality and diversity are good for business. We’re looking for the smartest and highest-performing guys and girls on the planet, and we don’t care if you’re male or female, straight or gay, or black or white.

We chose to open our Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dublin because Ireland has a world-leading talent pool, a sizeable and fast-growing technology industry, and a proactive, helpful government committed to driving progress and change.

If the vote this week is Yes, it would reaffirm that we made the right decision in choosing Dublin. It would show national support for the open and inclusive values that are, by and large, found in the most successful companies in the world today. It would further underline everything that is great about Ireland, both as a place to live, and a place to do business.

Fundamentally, we at Nitro simply believe that people should have the right to love and marry whomever they want. It really is no more complicated than that. So if you’re voting this week, we think you should vote Yes.
