Frequently asked questions about Nitro PDF upgrades

What happens to my version of Nitro PDF for Windows if I do not upgrade before the deactivation date?

After the deactivation date, Nitro PDF for Windows will cease to support all premium functionality, including editing, conversion, document protection, and digital signing. Nitro PDF for Windows can still be used for PDF viewing and will support basic PDF functionality such as printing and adding annotations and comments. Take advantage of the upgrade offer to ensure uninterrupted access to all premium features.

Why can I no longer purchase a one-time upgrade to Nitro PDF Pro v14?

Nitro is transitioning to a subscription licensing model. As of November 2024, we no longer sell one-time Nitro PDF Pro upgrades. You may claim an exclusive subscription upgrade offer for our latest PDF solution at a significantly discounted price of USD $50/year for three years, applicable for up to 20 licenses. (Price may differ by region.)

I have multiple licenses that will be deactivated at different times. Hoe can I purchase additional licenses with this upgrade offer?

This Nitro Pro upgrade offer is applicable for up to 20 deactivated licenses. If you have more than 20 licenses to update, please contact our support team for assistance.

If this is your first upgrade to Nitro Pro, please enter a serial number provided in your email above to begin the upgrade process, where you can purchase up to 20 licenses. You do not need to wait for all of your legacy licenses to expire to replace them with this offer.  

If you have already claimed this upgrade offer to Nitro Pro, just login to your Nitro account, select the number of additional licenses to lock into this price, and complete your purchase.

Alternatively, you may use a different serial number provided in your email above to continue your upgrade process. You will be prompted to login to your Nitro account to complete your purchase.

What serial number should I use to claim my upgrade?

Use the 18-digit serial number provided in the email sent to you. If multiple serial numbers are provided, enter only one to claim your upgrade offer.

Why can't I claim my exclusive Nitro PDF Standard upgrade offer?

This offer is only available to customers with Nitro PDF Windows for versions earlier than v14 and who have not previously purchased a Nitro Pro subscription plan.  

The offer can only be claimed one time per deactivated serial number. If you have already used a serial number to claim an offer, try a different serial number or login to your Nitro account where you can purchase additional licenses at the same offer price for up to 20 deactivated licenses.
