Nitro PDF Pro for Windows

Nitro PDF Pro uses a task-based interface, organizing tools into tabs. Each tab contains tools for a specific task, making it easy to find and use the features you need.  

The interface is divided into 8 main areas, described below.   

  1. Home Page

The Home Page is the first screen you see when opening Nitro PDF Pro. It provides access to commonly used features and documents:  

  • Recent Documents: Access files you’ve worked on recently.  
  • Quick Actions / Shortcuts: Buttons for common tasks, such as:  
    • Create New Blank File   
    • Combine Files   
    • Tutorials   
    • New PDF from File   
    • Save  
  • Search Bar: Find documents or tools   
  • Announcements / Tips: Software updates, product tips, or promotions 
  • Settings: Access application settings and preferences.  
  • Other Actions: Perform tasks like Print, Attach Files, Optimize PDF, View Document Properties, Batch Processing, Batch Printing, or Exit the application.  

The Home Page is designed to help users start tasks quickly and find frequently used tools without navigating menus.  

2. Menu Bar

The Menu Bar contains commands and actions organized into menus:  

  • Convert   

  • Review   

  • Page Layout   

  • Forms   

  • Share   

  • Erase   

  • Protect   

  • Accessibility   

  • Help 

  • Smart Tools 

3. Toolbar

The Toolbar provides quick access to common commands, such as:  

  • Open, save, or print documents   
  • Undo or redo actions   
  • Perform other frequent tasks without navigating menus  

4. Status Bar

The Status Bar is located at the bottom of the interface and allows you to:  

  • Choose how pages are displayed   
  • Control zoom level   
  • Navigate through the document (first page, previous page, next page, last page)  

5. Side Bar

The Side Bar helps you view and navigate your document using thumbnails and other tools. Features include:  

  • Bookmarks   
  • Document structure view   
  • Security settings   
  • Viewing all markups (text, drawings, stamps, attachments)   
  • Managing attached files (view, add, delete)   
  • Viewing JavaScript or application errors   

The Side Bar is collapsible for a cleaner workspace. 

6. Main Working Area

The Main Working Area is where you create, edit, or view content. This is the central part of the interface where your document is displayed. 

7. Tab Bar

The Tab Bar lets you navigate between multiple open documents or sections, making multitasking easier.  

8. Account Settings

The Account Settings area allows you to manage your Nitro account and subscription. Features include:  

  • Viewing account information and subscription status   
  • Updating profile details   
  • Changing password and security settings   
  • Managing connected devices   
  • Accessing license or activation information   

Account Settings help users manage their Nitro PDF Pro account and ensure their subscription is up to date.
