When viewing or editing a PDF document, you can adjust the zoom level by using the following tools:
- Zoom tools:
- Zoom In tool
- Zoom Out tool
- Use the Zoom tool to click and drag a marquee around an area of interest
- Page controls:
- Zoom slider
- + and - buttons
- Enter a value in the zoom field
- Keyboard shortcuts:
- Ctrl+Mouse scroll wheel
- Ctrl+Plus and Ctrl+Minus
To use the Zoom tool:
1. On the Home tab, in the View panel, click the arrow under the Zoom button.
2. Select the Zoom In or Zoom Out tool. The mouse pointer changes to a magnifying glass with a + or -.
3. Do one of the following:
- Click anywhere on the page to zoom
- Click and drag the Zoom tool to define a marquee to accurately define where you want to zoom in on the page
4. To change between Zoom In and Zoom Out, or to select one of the many preset zoom levels:
- Right-click the Zoom tool anywhere on the page, and select specific zoom levels from the menu
- Click the arrow under the Zoom button in the Home tab to select a specific zoom level
- To temporarily toggle to the other type of zoom tool when using the Zoom In or Zoom Out tool, hold down the Ctrl key
Tip: To change the Hand tool to the Zoom In or Zoom Out tool, right-click and select Zoom In or Zoom Out.
To adjust the zoom level with Page Controls:
On the Page Controls bar at the bottom-right of the screen, do one of the following:
- Click and drag the Zoom Slider to the left for less magnification, or to the right for magnification
- Click the - or + button on either side of the Zoom Slider
- Enter a number into the percentage field, ranging between 1% and 6400%
