Create and Edit a Digital Signature Field in a PDF
Nitro PDF Pro for Windows
A digital signature field lets a user sign or certify a document with a digital ID.
When a user clicks the field, the system opens a dialog. The user can then apply a digital signature.
Add a digital signature field
- Open the PDF in Nitro PDF Pro
- On the Forms tab, in the Form Fields group, click Digital Signature
- Drag the pointer on the page to create the field
- Open the field properties:
- Double-click the field
- Or right-click the field and select Properties
- Set the field name and properties. Use one of these options:
- The Properties context tab
- The Signature Properties dialog
- Configure additional settings as required, such as appearance and actions
Edit a digital signature field
- Open the PDF in Nitro PDF Pro
- On the Forms tab, in the Form Fields group, do one of the following:
- Click the field type
- Click Select Fields
- Select the signature field
- Edit the field properties:
- Use the Properties context tab
- Or right-click the field and select Properties
