Add Nitro PDF Pro to Microsoft Intune

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center

  2. Go to Apps > iOS/iPadOS > Create

  3. Select iOS Store app

  4. In the search field, enter Nitro PDF Pro

  5. Select Nitro PDF Pro - iPad & iPhone from the list

  6. Click Select, then click Next

  7. Enter the required app details. Configure other settings as needed.

  8. Click Next

  9. Review the settings

  10. Click Create

Assign Nitro PDF Pro to Users or Devices

  1. In the Microsoft Intune admin center, go to Apps > iOS/iPadOS

  2. Select Nitro PDF Pro - iPad & iPhone

  3. Click Assignments > Add group

  4. Select a group of users or devices

  5. Select an assignment type:

    • Required – The app installs automatically

    • Available for enrolled devices – Users can install the app from the Company Portal

    • Uninstall – The app is removed from devices

  6. Click Save

Monitor Deployment

  1. In the Microsoft Intune admin center, go to Apps > iOS/iPadOS

  2. Select Nitro PDF Pro - iPad & iPhone

  3. Click Device install status or User install status

  4. Review the installation status. Resolve any errors.

Does Nitro PDF Pro support AppConfig files?
Yes. AppConfig is supported on devices enrolled in Mobile Device Management (MDM). It is not supported in Mobile Application Management (MAM) environments.

How do users access company documents in Nitro PDF Pro?
Access depends on company policy. The administrator must provide instructions for document access and approved services.

Can users download files from OneDrive?
Yes. Users can download files stored in OneDrive. Automatic uploading is also supported, enabling a partial synchronization experience (not a full sync system). Users can share documents directly from within the app. Additionally, if OneDrive is configured as a managed app, users can use the Apple Share Sheet as an alternative sharing method.

Can users access personal documents in the app?
Access depends on company policy. If the policy blocks personal files, users cannot open them in the app.

Is there a separate version of Nitro PDF Pro for Intune?
No. The same app is used for all installations.

With Intune, administrators can apply app-level policies. These policies can:

  • Control app settings

  • Block actions such as copy, screenshot, or screen recording
