Troubleshoot a Missing Nitro PDF Pro Outlook Add-in

If the Nitro PDF Pro Outlook add-in is missing, use the following steps to enable or restore the add-in in Microsoft Outlook.

Enable the Nitro PDF Pro Outlook add-in

1. In Microsoft Outlook, select File

2. Select Options

3. In the Outlook Options dialog box, select Add-Ins from the left navigation pane

4. In the Manage list, select COM Add-ins

5. Select Go

6. In the list of add-ins, make sure that Nitro PDF Pro Add-In is selected. If the add-in is not selected, select the checkbox to enable it.

If the Nitro PDF Pro add-in does not appear in the COM Add-ins list:

1. Return to the Outlook Options dialog box

2. In the Manage list, select Disabled Items

3. Select Go

If Nitro PDF Pro appears in the Disabled Items list:

1. Select Nitro PDF Pro

2. Select Enable

Re-enable the add-in if Outlook disabled it because of slow loading

Microsoft Outlook can disable add-ins that take too long to load. If Outlook disables the Nitro PDF Pro add-in because of slow performance, use the following steps.

1. Select File

2. Select Manage COM Add-ins

3. In the Slow and Disabled COM Add-ins dialog box:

  • Select Nitro PDF Pro Outlook Addin

  • Select Do not monitor this add-in for the next 30 days

After you complete these steps, restart Outlook and confirm that the Nitro PDF Pro Outlook add-in is available.
