Close the Brother Control Center (BrCtrlCntr.exe) During Nitro PDF Pro Installation

If the Brother Control Center (BrCtrlCntr.exe) is running during the installation of Nitro PDF Pro, the installation pauses and displays a warning message. Nitro PDF Pro cannot close this application automatically. You must close the application manually before the installation can continue.

To close the Brother Control Center application

1. Go to the system tray in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Check whether ControlCenter4 is running, as shown in the following screenshot:

If ControlCenter4 is running:

1. Right-click the application icon

2. Select Close

3. Continue the Nitro PDF Pro installation

If the installation still does not continue:

1. Right-click the taskbar

2. Select Task Manager

3. Locate the Brother Control process (BrCtrlCntr.exe) or the Control Center process

4. Right-click the process

5. Select End task

After you close the Brother Control Center application, continue the Nitro PDF Pro installation.
