Senior Engineering Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing an cross functional team of Engineers while working alongside with UX and Product managers to deliver the next-generation offering of Nitro Productivity platform. You will play a pivotal role in Nitro’s core product, leading the team to successfully launch this critical platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to implement tactical strategies across the team.

2) What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage a team of Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the development of the next-generation platform project, coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Take charge of change management and reorganization efforts as needed during the transformation from old to a more modern technology stacks and development practises.
  • Be a strong tactical leader, understanding how systems interact and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Champion Agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, enabling them to achieve their goals and grow professionally.
  • Maintain a risk-taking mindset, making informed decisions to drive the team towards successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination with other teams, and external stakeholders.

3) What We Need:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Engineering Manager with a background in systems engineering or managing systems engineering teams.
  • A strategic mindset combined with strong tactical implementation capabilities, ensuring the team's success in meeting project objectives.
  • Technical expertise to understand and guide complex system architectures and interactions.
  • Demonstrated success in transforming projects from old to new technology stacks, involving change management and reorganisation efforts.
  • Experience working in both large organizations and start-up environments, with an ability to adapt and thrive in each setting.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with a track record of implementing and improving these practices.
  • Solid understanding of product development processes, with experience working closely with product managers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with team members and cross-functional teams.
